Matariki

This week, we are studying Matariki. It begins on June 10th, this year. People celebrate Matariki in lots of different ways. Sometimes, they learn to do something they haven't done before. Sometimes, they celebrate by telling stories from their culture. Sometimes, they perform in a concert for each other.
Sometimes, they make and fly kites. Our school will go to the Point with the students from other schools to fly kites. Josh made a kite for our class to fly. We hope there will be enough wind to fly our kites.
