Trees

Find out about the NZ native tree you have chosen.
1. Visit the bush area at your school.
2. Choose a NZ native tree to find out about.
3. Write its name.
4. Explain where it is growing.
5.  Give directions on how to find it using - begin, steps, left, right, turn, clockwise, anticlockwise, forward, back
6. Use the directions on the instructions sheet to tell us how tall it is.
7. Draw its shape.
8. Draw its leaf.
9. Describe its leaf.
10. Find out if it is deciduous or evergreen.
11. Draw its bark.
12. Describe its bark.
13. Look at what is living on the bark eg small creatures
14. Are there holes where insects might be living?
15. What birds are going to and from your tree?
16. What else did you find out about your tree?
