This Week's Learning - Writing Task: In your writing book,
(1) plan a story to explain how the nine (or seven) Matariki stars got into the sky. Planning - character(s) setting (where and when) did what. List high level words - verbs (action words) adjectives (describe)
(2) Write your story - orientation - (Once there lived ..), paragraphs of events (One day, ....) (When ...., (Next, ..) (Finally, ...)
(3) Read your story to make sure every sentence makes sense. Check your spelling - underline any word you are unsure of and fix it up. Make sure a fullstop ends every sentence, Make sure a capital letter begins every sentence and begins every word in names and the title.
(4) Open your Writing folder in your Drive. Write a title, click on Untitled Document, then type your story. Read it through, checking spelling, fullstops and capital letters, then read it to make sure it makes sense.
(5) After the teacher has marked it, make the corrections, then copy and paste it into Book Creator.
