Term 2 Week 4

Wow! Week 4 already! Good morning boys and girls. Yesterday's Mass was Good Shepherd Sunday. Jesus is our shepherd. He watches over us and cares for us. Thank you, Jesus, for keeping us safe. Please keep our families safe, and all the workers who are working hard today, especially the workers who are looking after the sick and the lonely. Please help us all to be generous this week, especially to people who don't have enough to eat. Amen.
This morning, follow Mitchell's and Davey's exercise routine, work on your own or Joe's is further down this page.

Are you looking forward to Mother's Day on Sunday? There are many people who may not be our mothers, but are caring for us as mothers - grandparents, dads, caregivers. It is a special day for all of them. Whaea Mihi has sent us a link to make a rose - raranga putiputi.

The 10am and 2pm Zoom Meetings will be collaborative quizzes. Choose which meeting you want to come to and look in your email for your invitation at the time of the meeting.
Ella and Davey, please come to a Zoom Maths lesson today at 11am.
Jorja, your lesson on Zoom is at 11.30am.
Ava and Nevaeh, please come to a Zoom lesson at 12pm.
If any of you want a lesson on something, please email me.

Create today's timetable - well done, Adam, on how you did yours. You created your timetable, then highlighted each task after you had done it. That was using your initiative well, and I could easily see which tasks you had done so I could go there and mark them off. Some of you created a weekly timetable - very cleverly done.

Kiwi Kids News Catch Up so that you can do the Kiwi Kids News quiz. Remember that the user name and password for the quiz are on your Home School Learning page in your Writing Folder in your Drive.

Maths: Please complete your Fractions work on Mathletics and Study Ladder this week. Those of you who are finished, thank you. You have some tasks in Study Ladder about Volume.

xtramath: Remember to practise your basic facts on xtramath each day.

Storyathon: Please use the motivations in Storyathon to write this week.

Writing: Listen to the story, Three Siblings and a Secret. Write your own Mother's Day story and upload it to Seesaw, or draw pictures to show the parts of the story, so I can put pictures in amongst the text.

Reading: Read about Mother's Day Around the World and make a poster about Mother's Day Around the World. Open a new google doc or google slides in your Reading Folder, create your poster then upload it to Seesaw.

Write a haiku - find out how by visiting this website.
